According to the Fresno Bee, a Clovis police officer pursuing a domestic violence suspect collided with another car this morning at Shepherd and Willow avenues.
Police spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee said the suspect is still at large and is sought by police.
The crash happened shortly after 5 a.m. when police received a call from a woman near Tenth Street and Villa Avenue who said her former boyfriend was trying to break into her apartment.
The man, Michael Kaercher, 36, had been named in an emergency protective order by the woman. A officer spotted Kaercher driving away and a second officer pursued him until Kaercher ran a red light, leading to the crash, Stoll-Lee said.
No one was seriously injured.
Kaercher is sought in connection with violating the restraining order, felony evading and stalking. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police at (559) 324-2800.
